my RATHER BE SLEEPING pin has always been made by hand, with the pin press in my apartment. so imagine my surprise to find that it’s been sold on a tshirt by @zara-owned @bershkacollection for months now in their stores worldwide!

it’s not about this pin, which is a small part of my larger body of work. it’s that someone at the company dug through 20 artists’ work, from @tuesdaybassen (6 artworks stolen) to @ivonnabuenrostro (3 artworks stolen) and just decided to rip us all off like it’s nothing. where’s the shame? where’s the sneakiness? this is totally illegal and companies get sued for it, so why did @zara think we wouldn’t care? why have they not responded, apologized, or tried to settle?

their parent company has my email address because we were quietly talking about the first instance of infringement on my copyright last month. they know who I am and they’ve been using the page I created, shoparttheft.com, to quickly pull down all the offending products. @zara, you know you’ve fucked up, so just let me know what you’re going to do about it.
